Stolen vehicles police website launched

By ACM Ahlers - 9 Dec 2011
Last year 20,345 vehicles were reported stolen in NZ. Police have started a website which they hope will help reduce the number of stolen vehicle in New Zealand.

The website is a database of stolen vehicles registered with the police.  If you suspect a car is stolen or are purchasing a second-hand vehicle you can go online and see if it have been reported stolen, this stops you being ripped off but it also gives the police extra eyes out in the community.
