At ACM Ahlers we maintain a number of associations with professional organisations in our industry.  We believe this shows our commitment to the profession as a whole and supports  our reputation as "Insurance Professionals".  We strictly adhere to the standards set down by these organisations and incorporate them in our own strict best practise manuals.

Qualified Risk Advisors

Our Risk Advisors are Registered Financial Advisors. A Registered Financial Adviser 'RFA' can legally provide you personal financial advice on financial products such as home loans, mortgages, life insurance, risk insurance, consumer credit contracts and other insurance products. Our advisors' conduct and maintain procedures that ensure our clients receive adequate consumer protection.  This also includes being subject to regular audits to ensure we are continually complying with government legislation

ACM Ahlers are members of the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand (IBANZ).  IBANZ ensures that all member brokers are appropriately qualified, efficient and trustworthy, and observe high standards of professional conduct and care. All IBANZ members must observe a special Code of Conduct and are subject to an external audit every twelve months.

All of our senior staff are QPIB (Qualified Practicing Insurance Brokers) which requires qualification by examination and ongoing training. This ensures that all our brokers are kept abreast of market trends and developments.

Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance
The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (the Institute) is the leading provider of insurance and financial services, education, training and professional services to the financial services industry in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region.

We regularly use the Institute's programmes to introduce our advisors to the complexities of insurance and their ongoing training programmes to ensure that our advisors continue to receive independent education on insurance matters.

Certified Insurance Professional (CIP)
The Institute run their own ongoing professional development qualification CPD alongside QPIB from IBANZ.  Our advisors have the choice of which qualification they wish to pursue and in some cases you will see they maintain ongoing qualification for both.

ACM Ahlers are the only New Zealand broker represented by the AAA which include companies from all over Australia and Asia.

This group meets regularly to discuss the impact of Risk and Insurance advisors across the region and the world, to share new information, and we regularly use each others services to help our clients when they have interests in each others countries both with regard to regulatory requirements and the placements of covers.

The AAA also required professional indemnity cover and strict adherence to a code of conduct.  The group also has representatives at Lloyds of London.
